The Spanish Language and Culture minor equips students with linguistic and intercultural skills essential for engaging with diverse communities and succeeding in various professional fields. The minor exposes students to a rich history, diverse groups and linguistic variety throughout Latin America, the U.S., and in Spain. Students with prior Spanish experience must take a placement test before beginning Spanish courses. The courses in the minor prepare students to develop proficiency up to the advanced level. Those unable to study abroad must plan an alternative route with Spanish advisors to complete requirements on campus and meet program objectives.

For a major in Spanish Language and Culture there are two tracks, one involving study abroad and a second one without study abroad if exempted.
