All students are required to complete two assessments: (1) a language proficiency assessment and (2) an intercultural competence assessment.

Courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher to count toward the minor.

Study abroad is required for one semester in a Linfield approved program in Chile or Ecuador. Courses taken abroad must be related to the art, literature, culture, or language of the host country, chosen in consultation with the Linfield advisor, and approved by the department chair. Study abroad programs may have  specific GPA requirements.

Students may count up to 12 credits from a semester abroad toward the minor.
