Application Procedure & Deadlines for Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (ABSN) and Master's Entry Into Professional Nursing (MEPN)

School of Nursing Prelicensure ABSN

Applicants with a prior bachelor's degree in a non-nursing area who have completed their nursing prerequisites are eligible to apply for the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program.

  1. Applicants must complete the NursingCAS online application and submit all required application materials by the term deadlines:
  2. Applicants must pay a $60 application fee to NursingCAS. 
  3.  International applicants for whom English is a second language must take one of the English language exams listed under the International Student Admission Procedure section and achieve the corresponding minimum score for admission consideration.
  4.  Students applying for need-based financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with Linfield's school code of 003198.

September 1 ABSN application opens on NursingCAS (A conferred bachelor's degree in a non-nursing area is required)
February 1 Application deadline for students applying to the ABSN program .
March 15 Notification of admission
April 15 Deadline to accept offer of admission ($400 non-refundable matriculation fee due)
May 15 Final materials deadline for all requirements to be met. Requirements include the completion of all prerequisite courses, conferred degree and compliance documentation.

School of Nursing Prelicensure Master's Entry Into Professional Nursing (MEPN) 

Applicants with a prior bachelor's degree in a non-nursing area who have completed their nursing prerequisites are also eligible to apply for the Master's Entry Into Professional Nursing (MEPN). Graduates will earn a Master of Science in Nursing degree (M.S.N.).

  1. Applicants must complete the NursingCAS application online and submit all required application materials by the term deadlines.
  2. Applicants must pay an $80 application fee to NursingCAS.
  3.  International applicants for whom English is a second language must take one of the English language exams listed under the International Student Admission Procedure section and achieve the corresponding minimum score for admission consideration.
  4. Students applying for need-based financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with Linfield's school code of 003198.
