III.9 Coordination Between the Senate and the Curriculum Committees of the College/Schools

If a change to, or addition of a new, program has been submitted within a particular unit, it is incumbent on the chair of that unit’s Curriculum Committee (CC) to submit the proposal to the CC chair of any other unit affected. The proposal will then proceed through the CC process of each relevant unit, with the results of each submitted to the CC of the originating unit. If the proposal is approved by all relevant units, the results will be reported to the Faculty Senate for informational purposes. In the case of a disagreement among the units, the Faculty Senate will take up the issue to make a final recommendation on the proposal to the deans, Provost and President.
