II.1      Mission Statement

II.2      Organization And Governance

Linfield University is a coeducational, comprehensive liberal arts institution. All university operations are governed by administration and faculty, with ultimate responsibility resting with the Board of Trustees. The university is committed to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in an atmosphere of academic freedom that fosters intellectual rigor, creativity, and a sense of personal and social responsibility.

The roles and responsibilities of the Board of Trustees, the President, and the faculty are articulated in the bylaws of Linfield University. The organizational structure of the Board of Trustees can be found in the bylaws, and the organizational charts for the administration can be found in the Linfield University Fact Book .
