Application Procedure & Deadlines for Students Applying to the Portland Campus for Nursing

  1. Applicants transferring from other institutions to the nursing program must complete the NursingCAS common application online and submit supplemental application materials by the term deadlines:
    Term Date
    Fall - Two-year traditional B.S.N. February 1
    Winter - Accelerated Master's Entry Into Professional Nursing June 15
    Spring - Two-year traditional B.S.N. August 1
    Summer - Accelerated B.S.N. December 1
  2. Applicants must pay a $60 application fee to NursingCAS and a $50 supplemental application fee to Linfield University for the B.S.N. programs and $80 to NursingCAS and a $50 supplemental application fee to Linfield University for the Pre-Licensure M.S.N.
  3. International applicants for whom English is a second language must take one of the English language exams listed under the International Student Admission Procedure section and achieve the corresponding minimum score for admission consideration
  4. Students applying for need-based financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with Linfield’s school code of 003198.

July 10 Final materials deadline for all requirements to be met and final transcripts received for students starting the Traditional B.S.N. program in the fall semester. Requirements include the completion of all prerequisite courses and compliance documentation.

October 1 Notification of admission to spring cohort
November 1 Deadline to accept offer of admission - ($400 matriculation fee is due for external admitted students)
January 10 Final materials deadline for all requirements to be met and final transcripts received for students starting the Traditional B.S.N. program in the spring semester. Requirements include the completion of all prerequisite courses and compliance documentation.
